A Misty Morning in the Valley explores a quieter kind of landscape—one that reveals itself gradually rather than all at once.
I wanted this piece to feel suspended in time. The kind of moment where nothing is rushing, and the world feels softened at the edges.
Unlike many of my earlier works, I approached this painting with restraint. Brushes allowed me to build atmosphere more gently—letting the mist settle into the landscape rather than sit on top of it.
The focus here wasn’t texture, but immersion.
The mist moves through the valley almost imperceptibly, softening forms, creating depth, and leaving just enough ambiguity for the viewer to step in and complete the scene themselves.
It’s a quieter piece—but one that lingers.
