12x24 inches | Acrylic on canvas
Inspired by a quiet walk through Baker Park, one of my favourite green spaces in Calgary, this piece reflects the stillness of winter among towering trees. There’s a certain calm in these moments—where everything feels hushed, yet deeply present.
Using a palette knife, I wanted the snow to feel textured and alive, almost sculpted into the scene. The trees stand like quiet sentinels, steady and enduring against the softness of the landscape around them.
This piece is an exploration of contrast—structure and softness, stillness and presence—captured in a place that feels both familiar and quietly profound.
