The Collection
These are my latest pieces made in the quiet of my studio over the winter of 2025-26. Each piece has a story behind it, usually a hike in the Rockies or a pensive walk in the wilderness around Calgary. Click on them to know how they came about.
Once they’re varnished and framed, they’ll be ready for rehoming. If you’re interested, watch this space and sign up below for updates from me on when they’ll be ready for purchase. You could also DM me directly on Instagram to inquire about pricing. I usually respond within a day.
Hallowed Grounds | 24" x 20" Acrylic on Canvas | There is something truly magical about the mossy forests of B.C. They feel ancient and sacred, as though time moves more slowly beneath their canopy. This painting had been calling to me ever since a trip to Victoria in the spring of 2025. A palette knife was essential for this piece. The moss needed texture—it had to be built up, layered, and felt as much as seen.
Dreamy Campsite | 12" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas | Inspired by a loved one's Himalayan adventure, this campsite under a starlit sky is the stuff dreams ought to be made of.
Sunrise on a Hill | 20" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas | The loveliest thing about painting landscape is the sense of expansiveness that never leaves you. People often look at the sky for perspective. Sometimes, a well-lit horizon over a rolling hill does the same.
A Misty Morning in the Valley | 24" x 12" Acrylic on Canvas | This is one of my favourite pieces so far. I used brushes instead of palette knives mostly to express atmosphere and a sense of mystery and calm of an early morning mountain landscape.
The Three Sisters | 16" x 20" Acrylic on Canvas | This monochromatic textural rendition of The Three Sisters, the famous trio of peaks in the Canadian Rockies, begs to be felt. It was a hike in -16 degree Celsius that inspired this painting. I have the link here.
Quietly Stormy | 16" x 20" Acrylic on Canvas | There's something about a star-spangled night sky that puts everything else in perspective, don't you think? Ironically, this windy mountain top was incredibly calming to paint.
Sentinels of Baker Park | 12" x 24" Acrylic on Canvas | A quiet walk in Baker Park, one of my favourite green spaces in Calgary, inspired this palette knife piece. I loved painting snow and these beautiful spruce trees with knives. There's plenty of texture here which makes me want to run my fingers through the canvas every time I see it.
View From the Top | 20" x 14" Acrylic on Canvas | Anytime I've flown over the Rockies, I've seen views similar to this and wondered and marvelled at the textures and colours. Here's one view I want to remember.
